Hi I’m Celene,

I have been thinking of creating this podcast for many years, and I finally decided to get out of my own damn way and follow through with one of my dreams! This is a space that I want to use to create a community of latinas that have not had it easy in this “ni de aqui, ni de alla” life that brings so many challenges, but also so many rewards for being intertwined within 2 cultures. I am a first generation Mexican American, first time mom, stepmom, and oldest of 4 in my family. I am the first in my family to obtain a Masters degree and first in many different things which has brought many challenges in life without having a guide, mentor, or anyone to address any questions of the unknown in this American culture. I am also the first of my siblings to get married and have a family, which brings up all the challenges of gender roles and the different family expectations in my Mexican culture. As you listen to my podcast, I discuss and confess many things such as thoughts, fears, challenges, regrets, joys, memories, etc. and I interview and have discussions with special guests that will hopefully make you feel like you are not alone in life. So join me and listen to my podcast, let’s laugh together, cry together, and learn from each others experiences because life is about growth! Vamos!
